Setting: A short distance from the McDonald Observatory, and north of Big Bend national park…both well worth a visit.
We were in the area so we decided to stay for a few nights on our way to Big Ben, there are about 100 sites, full hook up sites are available at most RV sites. There are also multiple bath/shower houses. They even have some primitive equestrian camping areas also.
Lots of hikes on the property as well as the “Skyline Drive”, a nice drive above the campground for some spectacular views. a great place to go star gazing. There is also a lodge with rooms to rent and a restaurant located inside the park.
