Setting: Antelope Island is the largest island in Great Salt Lake and can be reach by a 7-mile road across the lake from Syracuse. It’s a unique place with very little traffic, lots of views, miles of hiking trails, beach walks, marina, visitor center and historic ranch (a must see for anyone that grew up on a farm). We saw Buffalo and Antelope free roaming over the island and got some great pictures. There are 2 camping areas on the island, both on the north side (Bridger Bay for RVs / Tents) and (White Rock groups camping). Bridger Bay has 26 spacious paved sites with good separation. We visited in October so did not experience the biting gnats that are bad from April-June .
